Obituary Raymond Paul Armelin was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on October 10, 1981, to the late Lenes John Armelin, Jr and Mona Lisa Carpenter. He peacefully transitioned to his eternal rest on Friday May 8, 2026, at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, District of Columbia. Raymond was educated in the public schools in Washington, D.C. and graduated from Eastern High School. He was baptized at an early age at St. James Major Church, New Orleans, Louisiana. Raymond was named after his family priest Father Raymond Moore. In his early years of his life while attending school in his neighborhood, he was loved by many friends that became a milestone of brotherhood on 23rd NE. Raymond met a young lady who would become the love of his life, Elissa Sutton, who shared a long lasting love. To this lasting love two daughters were born. Kayla Armelin (Loona), Daniella Armelin (Danny). Our beloved brother was deeply loved by all who knew him. He had a kinda and generous heart, always willing to lend a helping hand to others, even while facing his own personal struggles and challenges. His compassion, strength, and caring spirit touched many lives and will never be forgotten. We will remember him for the love he gave so freely, the support he offered without hesitation, and the lasting impact he made on those around him. He will be dearly missed and forever carried in our hearts Raymond was preceded in death by father Lenes John Armelin Jr. and his stepfather Roger Carpenter (Joe Rock). He is survived by his mother, MonaLisa Carpenter and two daughters, Kayla Armelin, Daniella Armelin and five sibling : Terri Miles (David), Devance Brown, Lenes Armelin III, Maria Armelin, Schnika King-Cohn (Gregory), Also survived by a host of brothers -sister's in-laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, and aunts cousins, other relatives and friends, and all his brothers from (23rd NE Neighborhood). In closing, Raymond had a heart of gold and always was very giving. He will be dearly missed!
